Mark Bushell and Stacey Quinn recently put forward a submission to the Federal Inquiry into how the mining sector can support business in regional communities.
Following on from this, we are extremely pleased that Mark and Stacey have received a formal invitation on behalf of the Standing Committee on Industry, Innovation, Science and Resources to attend the Public Hearing and participate in the Terms of Payment Round Table in Mackay on 30th August 2018.
At CE Smith & Co, we are acutely aware from day to day discussions with our clients and other stakeholders in our community of the impact the issues around appropriate payment terms, fair procurement opportunities and government support are having in our region.
We fully support this inquiry and we hope it will bring about meaningful change where it is most needed.
If you would like a copy of the submission, or you are willing to share your personal experiences or perspectives with us, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us by email email@example.com using subject heading ‘Mining Sector Inquiry’
The Public Hearing will be held in Building 1, Floor 4, Central Queensland University, Sydney Street, Mackay commencing at 8.45am.
